Elora Overbey

I paint with light. I use it to illustrate how I see the world and to illuminate moments of clarity and conflict. This July I chased the light in Cordova, many miles up the Copper River where I documented Chinook salmon being caught for a mark and recapture program, visited glaciers and went to a place where the mountains don’t have names.

I am a photographer and visual storyteller pursuing degrees in journalism and advertising. I seek to distill experiences into singular moments that offer insight to issues of social and political importance.
