Ocean Overview Words by Morgan Krakow & Photographs by Science & Memory students

Poetic in nature, violent and strong at times, simple and gradual at others, the tide pulls in and out. We humans take this motion for granted. It’s always been this way, the easy back and forth of water, guided by a lunar power. But what if these waters began to change? What if the life such currents have always supported suddenly begins to dwindle? These are the questions to explore, to understand that even something as vast, as powerful as the ocean might be changed forever. Our explorations take us to shores that share that Pacific Ocean current. From Cordova, Alaska to Oregon’s Cape Arago, there are stories to be told.
