Torsten Kjellstrand

My compass points North, and I usually follow. Maybe I’m reminded of my native Sweden, maybe I like stories full of dark and quiet, maybe I like mosquitoes. I cut my narrative teeth as an English major, reading and writing to make sense of our relationships to wildness. I came to teach and learn at the SOJC after working as a writer, photographer and filmmaker, and after living for a few years in NYC, where it is neither dark nor quiet. Ever.
